Free Health Screenings and Health & Wellness Info Open to the Community

Neighborhood House of Milwaukee, a community center now in its 70th year, is hosting Health Fest 2015, an annual event offering free health screenings, health information, and generous give-aways on Saturday Feb. 14th, 2015, from 10am to 2pm.

Health Fest 2015 is co-sponsored by APAMSA (Asian Pacific American Medical Students Association) of the Medical College of Wisconsin.

Highlights of this year’s event include free screenings for diabetes and high blood pressure; breast exams; HIV and STD testing offered by the City of Milwaukee Health Department; vision tests; enrollment assistance for the Affordable Care Act; a karate demo; plus valuable give-aways and raffle items to support healthy living. In addition, health product vendors and health care advocates will offer hands-on activities for adults and kids.

“Health Fest 2015 is a great opportunity to start the new year with good health information for making positive choices,” said Neighborhood House Executive Director Jeff Martinka. “Neighborhood House is happy to partner with APAMSA and the Medical College of Wisconsin once again in this community health initiative.”

Health Fest 2015 will take place Saturday Feb. 14th, 2015 from 10am – 2pm at the Neighborhood House main site, 2819 W. Richardson Place, one block west of 27th and one block south of State Street. Contact Niki Espy, nespy@nh-milw.org, 414.933.6161, ext 156.
