Free Health Screenings, Health & Wellness Info Open to the Community

Neighborhood House of Milwaukee, a community center now in its 70th year, will offer free health screenings at its annual Health Fest on Saturday Nov. 14th, 2015, from 10am to 2pm.

Health Fest is co-sponsored by the Asian Pacific American Medical Students Association (APAMSA) of the Medical College of Wisconsin and by the American Association of Physicians from India (AAPI).

Highlights of this year’s event include free screenings for diabetes and high blood pressure; free breast exams; HIV and STD testing offered by the City of Milwaukee Health Department; vision tests; plus valuable give-aways and raffle items to support healthy living. In addition, health product vendors and health care advocates will offer hands-on activities for adults and kids.

“Health Fest gives our community a dose of inspiration and information for making healthy life choices,” said Neighborhood House Executive Director Jeff Martinka. “Neighborhood House is proud to partner with APAMSA, the Medical College of Wisconsin, and AAPI in strengthening community health on Milwaukee’s west side.”

Neighborhood House Health Fest will take place Saturday Nov 14th, 2015 from 10am – 2pm at the Neighborhood House main site, 2819 W. Richardson Place, one block west of 27th and one block south of State Street. Contact Niki Espy, nespy@nh-milw.org, (414) 933-6161, ext 156.
