Jeff Martinka, Neighborhood House of Milwaukee’s Executive Director, was featured at the Milwaukee Repertory theater on March 25th, 2018. He was invited as part of The Rep’s Act II series, which has a different local advocate speak after each showing of the Pulitzer Prize finalist Until the Flood. Written by Dael Orlandersmith, Until the Flood explores reactions to Michael Brown’s death in Ferguson, Missouri. The strong and varied voices reveal the community’s challenges as they work to heal. In a thought-provoking speech that reflects his professional work and personal experiences, Martinka reminded the audience that these social issues play out in tangible ways every day here in Milwaukee.
