Remembering Peggy Schoegler

Neighborhood House has lost a longtime friend – Margaret (Peggy) Schoegler passed away recently.

Peggy worked at Neighborhood House for 32 years, first as a volunteer, from 1951-1965, and then as a staff team member until 1983. Peggy was the dynamo who directed Neighborhood House’s older adult program, handling NH’s active senior activities, organizing our meal programs and leading senior trips throughout the region.

In recent years, with Peggy’s support, Pi Beta Phi adopted Neighborhood House’s children, offering annual Literacy Carnivals at the center. Peggy visited during a recent carnival.

Her memorial took place on Tuesday, December 11th at Milwaukee Catholic Home’s St. Ann Chapel at 10:30, following a 9:30-10:30 visitation period. A former NH colleague will be playing the organ for the service.

Thank you, Peggy, for the decades of care.

Rest in peace.
