Things That Fly is the theme for Neighborhood House outdoor education programs this year. NH kids launched into the subject in typical hands-on fashion by making and launching bottle rockets during spring break. This year Neighborhood House had extra support from Maple #7, a crew of AmeriCorps NCCC workers in residence at the Neighborhood House Nature Center in Dodge County. The thrill of a successful launch, the aspirations of little “Egg-stronauts” and the post-launch hike in the woods were all part of the experience.
