Upriver with the US Forest Service

Summer Camp teens spent a day canoeing with the US Forest Service on the Milwaukee River in Grafton. After a quick lesson, they put on life vests and were on the water, some for the first time. A few of them went into the water as well, unexpectedly! Canoes gave them access to an island upriver where they helped out with weed control, and to a summer afternoon away from the city heat. A special thanks to Derrick of the Bureau of Land Management for bringing the boats.
