Dollar General Literacy Foundation for a $15,000 grant for our Family Literacy program.

• Seventy eight volunteers who helped students do everything from learning ABCs to earn a GED. Our Volunteer Appreciation event included Burmese folk dancing, raffle prizes, and a dinner of Asian pho prepared by staff under the guidance of teacher Song Xiong.

• Volunteers from Rockwell Automation who are installing a playground for ILC’s preschool this month. Donations from friends of ILC made the purchase of this equipment possible.

• Erin Galvin and our service learners from Marquette University for creating a special brochure with all the information service learners need when considering ILC as a place to share their talents: Service Learning ILC brochure
