MPTV Highlights Mural Collaboration

Milwaukee, Wisconsin, October 13, 2015 — The creation of an outdoor mosaic mural for Neighborhood House Garden Park is the topic of an upcoming feature on Milwaukee Public Television’s The Arts Page. Neighborhood House of Milwaukee partnered with SHARP Literacy on the project, which was led by Milwaukee artist Sally Duback and incorporated the work of 30 young students participating in a summer educational program.

The mural centered on SHARP’s urban agriculture-focused literary materials and was unveiled at Neighborhood House’s  “Community Unity Day” event celebrating the community center’s 70th anniversary. The mural theme is based on SHARP’s 12th We Love to Learn book, There Grows the Neighborhood: Agriculture in the City.
