African American History Celebration
February 28th 5-6:30pm
NH youth and community groups will give presentations on important Black history. Families will learn about traditional African foods and how they have influenced cuisine in the U.S. Traditional soul food dinner will be served potluck style.
Drumming Workshop

Learn how African and Latin cultures use drums, how these traditions influence the MKE music scene, the science of sound, and how to make and play your own percussion instruments.
Maple Sugaring
March 11th 11am-3pm
Families will learn about the Native American tradition of maple sugaring as they drill and tap trees, collect sap, and make syrup at the NH Nature Center in Dodge County. The outing will also include a springtime hike. Maple inspired lunch will be served.
