Our computer lab got a make-over this spring with new desks and partition walls provided by a grant by the Public Service Commission. We currently have 15 computers in our lab for student use.

ILC’s Parenting Education and Home Visitation Program won The First Lady Jessica Doyle Award for Family Literacy. We will be honored at Wisconsin Literacy’s s 8th Annual Celebration of Literacy. Congrats to preschool staff Phan Sanford and Bao Her, and all who contribute to this important program.
ILC was honored to have been selected to present at an upcoming national conference for adult educators, the first joint COABE/ ProLiteracy Conference, “Coming Together in Chicago.” Our presentation was titled “Refugees’ Stories: Perspectives on the Challenges of Cultural Adjustment in the US.” It featured a video of ILC staff members from Hmong, Lao, and Somali Bantu refugee groups sharing…
