NEIGHBORHOOD HOUSE RECEIVES $100,000 GRANT FROM IMPACT100
On June 4, 2025, Neighborhood House of Milwaukee was one of four recipients to receive a $100,000 grant from Impact100.
Impact100 is a nonprofit women’s organization comprised of 422 women of Greater Milwaukee who donate $1,000 each to be able to offer four $100,000 grants and one $22,000 grant each year. It has made a positive impact on nonprofit organizations for the last 10 years with the mission to “collectively award transformative grants that make a lasting impact on the community.”
The grant Neighborhood House received from Impact100 will go toward The Children’s Playground Project, which includes an ADA accessible new playground for ages 2-12 years of age, a new durable play surface, a backyard landscape regrading including raised garden beds where children can engage in evidence-based lessons about natural science and urban agriculture, as well as a new greenhouse to extend the growing season and engage children of all ages to raise vegetables and native flowers, some which are from our 92-acre Nature Center in Dodge County.
Our Teen Program will build the greenhouse, learning values such as teamwork and working for the common good. Teens will also be taught how to create pollinator gardens, sharing this new skill in the community by helping neighbors in the Near West Side neighborhood to create their own gardens.
The generous support of Impact100 supports our mission to “inspire discovery in children and families of all backgrounds so they become lifelong learners and confident leaders among their peers, families and communities" in so many ways.
For 80 years, Neighborhood House of Milwaukee has been providing award-winning programming, and the completion of The Playground Project will benefit thousands of children and families over the next 25 years. Thank you, Impact100!
